FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
All financial obligations must be satisfied before graduation. If you have not paid your $40 graduation fee, please do so at the Business Office between March 19th and April 13th.
CAP AND GOWN:
To order your cap and gown, stop at the College store by March 27th. Caps & gowns can be ordered after this date, but correct size is not guaranteed.
PICKING UP YOUR CAP AND GOWN
You may pick up your cap and gown in the College Store. Students must present their Student Photo ID and A#.
Wednesday, May 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, May 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, TICKETS AND INCLEMENT WEATHER
You must present your Student photo ID and A# in order to pick up your announcements. You may pick up your five announcements and two rain tickets at the College Store after April 9th. If there is inclement weather on May 18th, Commencement will be held in the Physical Education Center. If the gymnasium has reached its capacity, your guests may be diverted, for their own safety, to an alternate viewing area on GCC’s campus. Admission to the gymnasium will be by RAIN ticket only, due to limited seating capacity –two tickets per graduate. Check www.gccnj.edu or 856 468-5000 for last minute announcements and instructions.
PHOTOGRAPHER
Chappell Studios will photograph Commencement. You will receive a packet in the mail prior to or immediately after graduation. If you have any questions, call Chappell Studios at 1-800-247-3435.
COMMENCEMENT DAY (Friday, May 18, 2012)
Rehearsal and Breakfast: GCC’s Student Activities Office sponsors a Commencement breakfast for all graduating students. This is a fun and exciting day that celebrates “YOU” the graduate. The morning festivities will begin at 9:00 am with a complimentary breakfast served in the Main Dining Room. Students will then see a beautifully coordinated DVD presentation sharing pictures from your time spent at GCC and have the opportunity to cast your vote for Teacher of the Year. Other important information pertaining to graduation will also be announced. Commencement rehearsal will immediately follow the breakfast. This is an important event that you don’t want to miss!
Commencement Ceremony: Please arrive promptly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18th in the Instructional Center for the assembly of academic procession (lineup) and robing. COMMENCEMENT WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 6:00 p.m.
HANDICAPPED PARKING
Handicapped Parking is available in Lot D for those with the appropriate handicapped parking decal. The designated area for discharging passengers is behind the Student Services building. For those individuals needing special assistance, Security will shuttle them to the graduation site. In case of inclement weather, please check our website.
PICKING UP YOUR DIPLOMA
You may pick up your diploma at the Student Records office in the Student Services Building between May 21 and June 14. The office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening hours are on Wednesdays until 7:00 pm. After June 14th, diplomas will be mailed to the student’s home address. Please visit the Student Records office in the Student Services Building to make any necessary address changes. You may also call 856-468-5000 press 1, then extension 6356, if you have any questions regarding diplomas.
